FAQs

Frequently Asked Questions

You've got questions. We're here to help.

What does a patient advocate do?

We help you navigate complex systems so you don’t have to do it alone. We clarify medical information, assist with insurance or billing issues, and ensure your needs and wishes are heard by healthcare providers. Whether you're facing a new diagnosis, managing a chronic condition, or caring for a loved one, a patient advocate is your knowledgeable partner and support system.

Who can benefit from a patient advocate?

Anyone dealing with complex medical conditions, chronic illness, hospitalizations, or elder care can benefit—especially those who feel overwhelmed, unheard, or unsure of their options.

Does health insurance cover your services?

No; at this time, most health insurance plans do not cover private patient advocacy services. Our support is paid directly by clients, which allows us to work solely in your best interest—without restrictions from insurance companies, hospital systems, or corporations.

We’re happy to provide invoices or documentation if you’d like to pursue reimbursement through a Health Savings Account (HSA) or Flexible Spending Account (FSA), when applicable.

We also offer affordable digital resources to make our support and education widely available.

Are your services confidential?

Absolutely. We maintain strict confidentiality in accordance with HIPAA regulations and your personal privacy preferences.

Do you work with specific conditions or all patients?

We support and have special expertise in aging care, autoimmune conditions and dysautonomia.
